Podcast notes for broken show — and a hiatus announcement.

Shelly and I tried to record a show last night, but technical difficulties kept the audio from being laid to track.  While I hope to potentially have a guest host sit in this weekend to fill in the content-gap, there are no promises.

In the interim, here’s the link list containing the stories we were to cover.

If I’m able to get a remote co-host’s audio put to track, expect a posting on either Sunday or Monday.

Otherwise, here’s the link list.  We’ll be back on the air as soon as we’re able.  Apologies for the inconvenience.

Staged: White House “Situation Room” Photos Part Of Bin Laden Fable

Paul Joseph Watson | May 5, 2011

In addition to images of President Obama’s address to the American public on Sunday night, it has emerged that the dramatic photos of Obama, Biden, Hillary Clinton and members of the White House security team watching the assassination of Bin Laden “live” were in fact completely staged, casting further doubt on the ever-changing official account of the operation.

Was Bin Laden Assault A Jessica Lynch-Style Fable?

Paul Joseph Watson | May 4, 2011

The myriad of inconsistencies that continue to be unearthed in light of the White House’s ever-changing account of the alleged capture and assassination of Osama Bin Laden are beginning to resemble two other war propaganda fables that were presented to the American people as heroic episodes of US military might yet turned out to be nothing less than outright deceptions used to generate contrived pro-war patriotism – the “rescue” of Jessica Lynch and the death of Pat Tillman.

First Bin Laden was armed, then he was not. First Bin Laden used his wife as a human shield then he did not. First Bin Laden was shot on sight then he was shot only after being captured first. First Bin Laden’s compound was a plush million dollar mansion then it was a dirty house with no air conditioning worth a quarter of that.

Introduction:

After a long wait, many starts, stops, fits, and restarts: finally… a new podcast.  Much has happened since this show has last fired up the “ON AIR” sign.  We’ve invaded four (or is it five?) new nations; receded mildly a front in the Iraq War; expanded the Afghanistan War; started murdering lotsa people in Pakistan with drones and missles; we’ve seen QE1 and QE2; and TARP has been expanded under the Obama junta (among many other horrible things!).  Plenty has stayed the same, though: we still torture; Gitmo’s still open; the political parties are corrupt; Goldman-Sachs still has operatives planted all over the place; and gold and silver prices keep risingrisingrising!

Forget Pakistan, US Knew Bin Laden’s Location All Along

Paul Joseph Watson | May 3, 2011

The notion that the US was only aware of Bin Laden’s precise location for a matter of months before they executed their alleged raid of his compound in Pakistan is an insult to the truth, which is that the US knew the Al-Qaeda leader’s precise whereabouts before 9/11 and also protected him from capture on numerous occasions afterwards.

To Tax Is to Destroy

Fred Buzzeo | April 28, 2011

The landmark Supreme Court decision McCullough v. Maryland (1819) has had wide impact on the powers of the federal government. In fact, this decision, more than any other, is responsible for the incredible growth of federal authority throughout the years. Today, Washington has a tight grip on every aspect of our lives, and much of this federal intrusion is due to the “implied powers” doctrine that emanated from this court decision.

Nazi Lover Schwarzenegger: Make Me President of European Union

Kurt Nimmo | April 23, 2011

Arnold Schwarzenegger, the washed up B-actor who served a disastrous stint as California’s governor, is now gunning for the presidency of the European Union.

“The Austrian-born former body builder, 63, at loose ends as he tries to figure out what his next act should be, reportedly is being advised by aides to return to his native Europe to run for the EU presidency,” reports the AFP.

And people made fun of Hank Paulson for threatening with eternal damnation if congress didn’t stamp his multi-trillion blank check to bail out his former co-workers from Goldman. In a step that makes the Kashkari-Paulson threat seem like amateur hour, the teleprompter just received its latest high frequency directive from the Wall Street superiors, promptly delivering the latest MAD message to what continues to be perceived as an idiot audience: “Failure by Congress to raise the U.S. debt limit “could plunge the world economy back into recession,” President Barack Obama declared Friday, and he acknowledged that he must compromise on spending with Republicans who control the House to avoid such a crisis. Obama urged swift action, saying he doesn’t want the United States to get close to a deadline that would destabilize financial markets. He said he was confident Congress ultimately would raise the limit. “We always have. We will do it again,” said Obama, who voted against raising the debt limit as a freshman senator from Illinois.”

And then there was Chrome.

Apple made it clear this week that the next version of its Safari browser — which will ship with the upcoming version of Mac OS — will include the ability for users to tell websites not to track them, by using what’s known as the ‘Do Not Track’ header, according to The Wall Street Journal.
